Position Overview: The Children and Teen Member Care Provider is a vital role dedicated to supporting the well-being of children and families in global ministry. This individual will oversee the children's ministry and facilitate debriefing at retreats, recruit team members for short-term trips, and assist in providing pastoral care for children and their families. The role is designed to encourage, equip, and empower global ministry workers and their families to thrive in their calling. This is a full support-raised position reporting directly to the Global Member Care Coordinator. Key Responsibilities: Children's Ministry Oversight
Design, implement, and manage age-appropriate programs for children and teens at retreats and events.
Develop creative, engaging activities that promote emotional, spiritual, and social growth for children and teens.
Coordinate childcare and educational programs to support parents in ministry contexts.
Debriefing Facilitation
Lead debriefing sessions for children and teens to process cross-cultural experiences, transitions, and challenges.
Provide tools and activities to help children and teens articulate their experiences and emotions.
Collaborate with the Global Member Care Coordinator to ensure debriefing aligns with overall vision..
3. Recruitment for Short-Term Teams
Identify, recruit, and train team members for short-term trips focused on children and teen ministry.
Equip volunteers with the skills needed to serve effectively in cross-cultural contexts.
Ensure all team members align with the organization's values and mission.
Member Care
Assist in providing supportive care for children and their families, addressing their unique needs in cross-cultural and ministry settings.
Offer prayer, encouragement, and practical support for families navigating challenges.
Coordinate with other member care providers to offer holistic support.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Ministry, Counseling, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Previous experience in children's ministry, education, or pastoral care.
Experience working with children and families in cross-cultural or ministry settings preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and cross-cultural teams.
Adept at facilitating debriefing sessions and fostering a safe, supportive environment for processing.

Coordinate and facilitate annual fundraising events (e.g., Auction & Casino Night, Pickleball Tournament, Go for the Globe), including logistics, communications, and collaboration with planning committees.
Assist in developing and executing donor engagement strategies that foster long-term relationships and increase donor retention.
Manage donor communications, including thank-you letters, newsletters, end-of-year giving campaigns, and special mailings.
Track donor data and giving trends in coordination with our CRM or donor management platform.
Support social media and email communications related to fundraising efforts.
Administrative Support (Approx. 50%)
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director, including scheduling, communication drafting, and task coordination.
Track and manage budget spending related to special projects, fundraising events, and cross-cultural service trips.
Support the logistical and communication needs of short-term mission teams, including documentation, scheduling, and follow-up communication.
Assist in preparing materials for board meetings and organizational reporting.
Maintain and manage campaign and information mailers (printing, distribution, data management).
Support ongoing projects and seasonal needs as they arise within Chosen Vessels’ operations.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or nonprofit development preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), email marketing tools, and donor management systems (or willingness to learn).
High level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive information.
Collaborative team player with a heart for global ministry and the mission of Chosen Vessels.
Preferred Experience:
Previous work or volunteer experience in a faith-based nonprofit or ministry setting.
Background in event coordination or volunteer team support.
Familiarity with cross-cultural service and missionary support needs.
